Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the crack resistance of weld metal by adding one or more kinds of S, Ca and REM to one or both of core wire and coating agent so as to contain said elements in the weld metal and containing carbonates, fluorides, etc. in the coating agent. CONSTITUTION:One or more kinds of S; 0.01-0.1%, Ca; 0.0005-0.05% and REM; 0.001-0.1% are added to either one or both of core wire and coating material at the following ratios so that said elements are contained in weld metal. In the case of adding these to the core wire, S; 0.03-0.1%, Ca; 0.002-0.1%, REM; 0.005-0.1%. In the case of adding these to the coating material, S; 0.05-0.6%, Ca; 0.1-3%, REM; 0.1-3%. In the case of adding these to both, the abovementioned core and coating material are combined. Next, the coating agent containing carbonate 10-60%, metal fluoride 1-25% and deoxidizing agents, alloy powder, iron powder, iron arc stabilizer, slag forming agent and binder for the rest is coated around the core wire.
