Abstract

PURPOSE: To realize captioned welding of thick plastes at high efficiency and high performance, by using baked, sintered flux of specified composition, and welding by 1 layer, 1 pass, specified thickness of deposition and welding speed up to the position under the specified gap of the groove of specified shape and dimensions.
CONSTITUTION: Calcined or sintered flux is used, of which composition should be, by wt%, as follows: Al2O3 5W38, SiO2≤23, TiO2≤25, ZrO2≤25, MnO≤15, of which one or more kinds totaling to 15W80; CaO≤25, MgO≤35, BaO≤30, of which one or more kinds totaling to 10W50; metal fluorides, as fluorine, totaling to 2.5W15; alkaline metal compounds, as oxides, totaling to 2W5; and metal powder by 0.2W3 as essential components.
