CONSTITUTION: A part of the light passing through a photographic lens 1 runs through a half-mirror 7 and a total reflection mirror 8, and is projected into a photoelectric transducer group 10 provided at a position optically equivalent to a film surface 9. The outputs corresponding to lights entering each photoelectric transducer are arithmetically processed as focus detection output ξ in a focus detection processing circuit 11, and an extreme value ξ0 is outputted when the focus is adjusted, and is displayed by a display body 25. Also, this output ξ is inputted in a focus detection circuit 12, and while the focus detection output ξ is in decreasing state, a display body 14 lights up, and while it is in increasing state, a display body 13 lights up. Therefore, the photographer has only to move the photographic lens in the lighting direction of the display body 13.
