Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent water from staying by fitting a periphery of an opening for an engine cover with a seal provided with a lip along the circumference inside, so that when fitting the engine cover to the main body the lip is interconnected to the aforesaid periphery of the opening bending externally.
CONSTITUTION: A starter cable guide bracket 3, has in tis exterior at the outer-end a tapered conical surface 3b facing outside. A seal 5 fitted to a periphery 4a of an opening of an engine cover 4, has an annular lip 5a of 2 rows along the circumference inside, being interconnected to a conical surface 3b. In this instance, the engine cover is moved towards both directions from outside when fitting, so that the lip 5a is deformed by the interconnetion with the conical surface 3b, from a dotted line configuration to a full line configuration, and prevents water from staying between the seal and the bracket 3.
