Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent a seal member from deteriorating and maintain its sealing performance for a long period, by inwardly or outwardly winding the tip of the seal member whose butt is engaged with a wire guide, so that the tip serves as a free end.
CONSTITUTION: A seal member 16 for maintaining tightness against water and air is fitted between a top cowling 3 and a wire guide 10. The seal member 16 is made solid rubber or the like. An engaging recess 17, in which the fitting flange 19 of of the wire guide 10 is fitted, is provided on the inside of the butt of the seal member 16. A bent portion 18 is provided at the tip of the seal member 16. The bent portion 18 is put in elastic contact with the top cowling 3 and the wire guide 10. The tip edge of the bent portion 18 is provided as a free end.
