Abstract

PURPOSE: The title composition forming a tough ceramic material upon exposure to a high temperature after curing, comprising a specific silicone copolymer, an organopolysiloxane, a ceramic-forming material, and an addition reaction catalyst.
CONSTITUTION: A composition comprising (A) 100pts.wt. of a silicone copolymer having two or more olefinic unsaturated bond-containing groups and two or more alkoxy groups in one molecule, consisting of R3SiO1/2 and SiO4/2 units (R is ≤10C organic residue), (B) 0W600pts.wt. of a chain organopolysiloxane having two or more olefinic unsaturated bond-containing groups in one molecule, (C) an organopolysiloxane having two or more SiH in one molecule in an amount to give a molar ratio of SiH to olefinic unsaturated groups in (A) and (B) of 0.5W10:1, (D) 3W 300pts.wt. of a ceramic-forming material, and (E) a catalytic amount of an addition reaction catalyst.
