Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide the title comosition curable at room temperature in the presence of moisture and giving an excellent film, by compounding a specific organopolysiloxane resin, a specific α,ω-dihydroxydiorganopolysiloxane and a specific silicon compound.
CONSTITUTION: A composition composed of (A) 100 parts by weight of an organopolysiloxane resin having an average unit of formula I (R' is univalent hydrocarbon; n is 0.80W1.80; m is a number which gives the content of the OH bonded to the Si atom of ≥0.01wt%), (B) 0.5W50 parts of an α,ω-dihydroxydiorganopolysiloxane of formula II (R2 is univalent hydrocarbon; q is an integer of ≥2) and (C) a silicon compound of formula III (a is 0, 1, or 2; x is a group hydrolyzable with moisture) or the condensate of its partial hydrolyzate. The amount of the (C) component is selected to give a mixture of the (A) and the (B) components which can be stored in the absence of moisture and can be cured at room temperature in the presence of moisture.
