CONSTITUTION:In case the decision is given to the PAL or SECAM system based on the video signal recorded on the tape, phase detection 2 is given to the video signal to decide the PAL system or not. Then this video signal receives FM detection 5 to give decision to the SECAM system or not. Here if the video signal decides the PAL system, the output of the SECAM-system deciding circuit is inhibited with the output of the PAL-system deciding circuit. Thus the malfunction can be reduced for the deciding circuit featuring the low identification sensitivity.
