Abstract

PURPOSE:To secure the accurate identification and decision for the system and thus obtain the high-reliability decision signal by giving decision whether the tape reproducing system is the NTSC system or not and then giving decision to the PAL system and then identification to the SECAM system each. CONSTITUTION:In case the recording system is decided based on the tapes recorded with various TV systems, comparator circuit 6 gives decision whether the reproducing system is the NTSC system or not based on the control signal recorded on the magnetic tape. And in the case of the NTSC system, the decision is given through PAL deciding circuit 2 whether the PAL system is applied or not through phase detection 12. And in case no PAL system is applied, whether the SECAM system or the black/white system is decided through SECAM deciding circuit 3 and FM detection 14. In such way, the accurate decision and identification can be given to the system, thus obtaining the highly reliable decision signal.
