Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide a solid electrolyte compsn. having a LiI-AgI-Ag2O-MmOn four-component system special compsn. and exhibiting high ion conductivity at room temp. CONSTITUTION:LiI 0.01-60mol%, AgI 0.5-99.9mol%, Ag2O O-49mol% and MmOn (where M is one or more out of P, As, Sb and Bi as Vb group elements in the periodic table, m is 2, n is 3 or 5 and MmOn is a trioxide cpd. and/or a pentaoxide cpd. of element M) 0-49mol% are mixed in a well dried atmosphere, vacuum-sealed in a quartz glass ampule, melted by heating at 400-900 deg.C for 2-10hr, and quenched with liquid nitrogen to obtain a solid electrolyte compsn. exhibiting a Li<+> ion or Ag<+> ion conductivity of 10<-6>(OMEGAcm)<-1> or more at room temp.
