Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the effect of the residue of radioactive sample water by a simple means, by a method wherein a plurality of systems of fixed-amount piping units are provided, and corresponding to the radioactive concentration, a fixed amount of radioactive sample water is transported to a piping system unit.
CONSTITUTION: After sample water is taken into intake tank 2 by opening valve 1, its approximate concentration is measured by a radioactivity monitor provided on the outer side of the tank. Corresponding to the concentration, the sample water is sent to one of fixed-amount tanks 7, 11, 15, which constitute fixed-amount piping unit, through sample water transport pipe 16. When the sample water overflows, its supply to tank 7 is stopped by closing valve 4 by means of flow switch 6.
