Abstract

PURPOSE: To simplify delivery from pig receiver to pig launcher by collecting the pig short off by the pig launcher with a pig receiver installed at the land on the same side as the pig launcher.
CONSTITUTION: In case A-oil is delivered off through an oil transport pipe while B-oil is received from another oil transport pipe, all valves shall be in closed position and a pig G1 is inserted in a pig launcher 4. After insertion of the pig G1 it is stopped in front of a twentyth electric operated valve 38 with both main oil transport pipes 1, 2 filled with fresh water as preparation for replacing the fresh water in these main oil transport pipes 1, 2 with A-oil and B-oil. As the procedure for the above-mentioned process, each electric operated valve is opened and a water feeding pump 24 is operated to feed water to the pig launcher 4 and thereby shoot off the pig G1. The pig G1 passes the first main oil transport pipe 1 and stops at the divergence point of a by-pass oil transport pipe 39 and, thereafter, moves in the second main oil transport pipe 2 to be collected by the pig receiver 6. According to this constitution, no complicated arrangement is required for transportation.
