Abstract
PURPOSE: To separation-remove Pb, etc., into a cake, contained in a cleaning liquor and a KMnO4-added leaching liquor discharged from a Cd manufacturing process by adding MnSO4 to the mixed liquor and filtering the liquor or further adding SrCO3 or BaCO3 to the filtrate and filtering the filtrate.
CONSTITUTION: ZnO is added to a leaching liquor of sulfating roasting discharged from a Cd manufacturing process to neutralize the liquor, and KMnO4 is added to remove Fe, Mn, Tl, etc. in the liquor. Since the resulting purified liquor Pb together with Cd, MnSO4 is added to the liquor and agitated to form MnO2. This MnO2 adsorbs the Pb and forms a cake, which is then removed by filtration. A little Pb is left in the filtrate, so SrCO3 or BaCO3 is added to form SrSO4 or BaSO4 having high Pb adsorbing power and forming a cake.
