Abstract

CONSTITUTION: A zinc plate is formed by pressing zinc active material 1 on both sides of a core 4 which is made by copper net 2 coated with cadmium film 3 with a thickness of several microns. The active material 1 is a mixture containing cadmium compound such as cadmium oxide. This can prevent deterioration of the plate core 4, improve the adherence and conductivity of the active material 1 and also improve the battery characteristics.
