Abstract

PURPOSE: To absorb SOx and soot in exhaust gas from a heavy oil boiler into a black liquid and remove them, and to utilize the quantity of heat of the exhaust gas for the concentration of the black liquid, by a method wherein the exhaust gas and the black liquid are contacted in a concentrating device for a recovery boiler mounted to a flue of the heavy oil boiler.
CONSTITUTION: A concentrating device such as a cascade-evaporator (3) is installed to a flue (2), exhaust gas and a black liquid are contacted, and the black liquid is forwarded to a cascade-evaporator (5) of a recovery boiler. Thus, SOx in the exhaust gas is approximately absorbed to the black liquid, and soot is nearly removed. The temperature of the exhaust gas also drops, the quantity of heat corresponding to temperature difference is used for the concentration of the black liquid, and the moisture of the black liquid is decreased, thus largely improving the efficiency of boiler of the recovery boiler.
