Abstract

PURPOSE: To generate electric power by a power generator driven by a water wheel disposed within a flow densifying device which densifies the low fluid energy density of ocean current or wind using a funnel-shaped densifier.
CONSTITUTION: The low fluid density of ocean currents or wind is densified by a funnel-shaped densifier 1. The fluid energy of a high density thus provided is converted into a rotary power by a water wheel 2 disposed within the densifier 1 and used to drive a power generator 3. The change of the flow rate at the inlet of the funnel and at the outlet of the funnel is proportional to the change of the section area of the inlet and the outlet of the funnel. Thus increased fluid velocity is effectively used for driving the water wheel.
