Abstract

PURPOSE: To detect optical changes by electric signals by opposedly disposing the ends of plural optical fibers on a concentrical circle by way of a scanning disc having a fine gap and subsequently selectively transmitting light through rotation of the scanning disc.
CONSTITUTION: The apparatus is constituted by an optical fiber bundle 2 having the photo detecting ends 1 disposed with one ends of optical fibers in one straight line form at an equal spacing, an optical fiber bundle 2' having the condensing ends 3 for transmitting light of the optical fiber bundle 2 and radiating the light to a photo detecting face 4 and a photo detector 5 which converts the radiated light to an electric signal. The optical paths transmitting light from the transmission ends 1' to the fiber bundle 2' through 1" are mechanically scanned by the scanning disc 7 having a fine gap 9. As a result, only the light passing through the fine gap 9 is subsequently selectively transmitted and this light may be fetched out as an electric signal, thus the optical changes may be detected by the simple mechanism.
