Abstract

PURPOSE: To stably obtain the magnetic wire having discontinuous changing portions of magnetic flux in part of the magnetization curve without any special heat treatment by integrally compounding two or more kinds of ferromagnetic materials of different coercive forces to coaxial form, subjecting the same heat treatment and cold working, then straightening the same.
CONSTITUTION: For example, alloys A, B of different coercive forces whose V amounts of 49Co-Fe-V-base alloys are changed are made to round bars of about 30mmϕ respectively through hot working. These are machined to make the alloy B round bar to a core material of about 15mmϕ and alloy A round bar to a shell material for pipe of about 25mmϕ in outside diameter and about 15mmϕ in inside diameter. The core material 1 is coaxially fitted into the shell material 2 and these are hot rolled and cold swaged to be made into the integrated composite round bar of about 9.5mmϕ. After this is subjected to solution heat treatment, it is cold-drawn to a wire material of about 3.0mmϕ. After the heat treatment, it is cold drawn, whereby the loop-form wire material of about 0.6mmϕ is obtained. This is straightened with a top type straight wire straightening machine. The magnetization curves thereof become like the figure and this is used for an electromagnetic element or the like provided with a switching function.
