Abstract
PURPOSE:To evacuate blast furnace by reducing residues to the discharge level of molten pig iron by sending hot air through tuyere mounted to one pig iron discharge port from an air supply branched pipe into the blast furnace after the blowing-out of blast furnace. CONSTITUTION:The fluidity of molten slag is improved by replacing the inclusion of the blast furnace 3 with coke and lime stone alone and then reduced to the tuyere 1 level by buring the includion b by sending hot air through the tuyere 1 from the air supply branched pipe 2 into the furnace 3. After the blowing-out operation, hot air from the air supply branched pipe 2' through the tuyere 6 mounted to one pit iron discharge port 4 at the lower part of a molten metal trap is sent tinto the blast furnace 3, whereby the residues b present at the level of the tuyere 1 is burned, molten slag formed is discharged from the other pit iron discharge port 5, and then the level of the residue b is reduced to the level of the pig iron discharge port. By this blown-out method, the repairing period of the blast furnace 3 can shortened.
