Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable conductive paint to be charged and atomized and high coating efficiency to be obtained by providing a space part of a suitable distance between paint supply port and the paint receiving part of a rotary electrode so that fine- particle-form paint may be supplied from the paint supply port to the paint receiving part. CONSTITUTION:Conductive paint such as metallic paint or the like supplied from a paint container to a nozzle 2 is discharged to the disc part 3a of a revolving paint feeder 3. Owing to the centrifugal force of the disc part 3a, the paint undergones primary pulverization P1 and is diverged from the paint path 4 on the circumferential end toward a rotary electrode 1. The paint having reached on the electrode 1 is subjected to secondary pulverization P2 by charging with high voltage and the centrifugal force through revolution, whereby it is deposited on the substrate 8 to be coated.
