The charged paint is sprayed from a number of fine holes 3 bored on the periphery of the hub by centrifugal force to form a thin film along the wall surface 15 of the revolving head 1. The fluidized paint moves from edge 16 to the opposite electrode, the surface of the substrate W, whereby the electrostatic coating is effected. At this time, even if the substrate is made to come near the rvolving head or the motor by an external force, the spark is perfectly prevented with inhibition of the ignition of solvents because they are covered with the housing 10 of insulating resin material.
