Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent magnetic paint spray from returning and sticking on a substrate, by deflecting the magnetic paint spray by a magnet device. CONSTITUTION:While a magnetic disk substrate 2 mounted on a lateral main shaft 1 is rotated and a nozzle 3 is run in a radius direction, magnetic paint 7 containing magnetic powder is jetted from the nozzle to perform coating treatment. In this case, a magnetic field is established by an AC deflecting magnet device 6 whih has a semiannular electrode 61 arranged opposite from an upper gap between the disk substrate 2 and an annular receiver 5 to the extended surface of the substrate to deflect the spray 7' of excessive pain by the magnetic field as shown by a dotted-line arrow, thus attracting it directly to a duct 51.
