Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain moldings in a short time without fear of toxicity and loss, by using solvent-free hot melt adhesive when fixing the filter material to end plate.
CONSTITUTION: Filter materials 2, 7 (fiber, net, cloth, etc. in the form of star, sliding screen, etc.) of air, oil and water filters or the like of automobiles, air conditioners, etc. are fixed to end plates 1, 5 (foaming materials, compound materials, etc. of metal, plastics or the like). For this purpose, solvent-free hot melt adhesives 4, 8 prepared in the form of powder or pellets are placed on the end plates to melt by heating, or melted and poured and, at the same time, the filter materials are inserted and adhere and fix, to be cooled immediately. Since the fixing completes simultaneously with cooling, the opposite side can be similarly fixed immediately. As this adhesive, besides the thermoplastic type, the one pack thermoset type mixed with hardener or catalyzer may be also used. Further, by blending foaming agent, the weight and cost may be reduced.
