Abstract

PURPOSE:To unenable the idling readjustment by users by an arrangement wherein the head of the idling adjustment screw is covered at its close position by the protruded portion in the form of a plate provided at a part of the float chamber. CONSTITUTION:A protruded plate 9 is provided at the lower end of a casing 8 of a float chamber 10 in close vicinity to the opening of an annular protruded portion 14 protruding from the lower side surface of an air supply cylinder 1. An idling adjustment screw 15 is fitted within the annular protruded portion in such as manner that its tip extrudes out from a through passage 5 so as to oppose with an idling hole 12. The position of the adjustment screw 15 is adjusted as follows. In a maintenance shop or the like, a conventional float chamber without the protruded plate 9 is first attached to the air supply cylinder 1 and the position in rotation of the idling adjustment screw is adjusted so as to meet a predetermined exhaust regulation. Then, after discharging fuel in the float chamber 10, the present float chamber 10 with the protruded plate 9 is now attached to the air supply cylinder 1 in place of the conventional one and the portion corresponding to the adjustement screw is completely sealed.
