Abstract

PURPOSE: To make possible the removal of ultrafine precipitate and perform high- degree treatment of water by letting the inorganic matter in the water to be treated precipitate and deposit in the fore-stage and subjecting this precipitate-contained slurry to pressure treatment by using permeable membranes in the post-stage.
CONSTITUTION: In the treatment method of the water to be treated containing organic and inorganic substances such as sewer and river water, the inorganic substances in the water to be treated are let to deposit as insoluble or hard-to-dissolve precipitate through addition of precpitate formers and coagulant aids or electrolysis in the fore-stage. Next, this precipitate-containing slurry is subjected to pressure treatment by using either organic or inorganic permeable membranes of fine pores from 2.5μ to 50W60Å to concentrate the liquid containing precipitation deposits on the high-pressure side of the membrane surfaces. The highly treated membrane- permeated-liquid is obtained on the other side. In this way, the removal of ultrafine precipitate may be accomplished and the high-degree water treatment performed.
