Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a compact design and improve heat radiation performance by a method wherein a through-hole is provided in the radial direction of an axle pipe, and the back portion of a caliper is connected with a differential gear portion by piping.
CONSTITUTION: Due to rotation of a vane portion 3a of an inner hub 3, the hub 3 functions as a centrifugal pump vane wheel. Therefore, working oil in an axle pipe 5 is forcibly sucked out via a through-hole 10, discharged into a body via a through- hole 14 of the hub 3 and the gap 18 between a cylinder body 6 and the hub 3, fed to a differential gear portion 12 through an oil groove 16 of a piston 15 and an oil groove 17 of a caliper 7, and circulated as indicated by arrows 18. Thus, the working oil heated in a brake body is rapidly cooled while flowing through a pipe 13, the portion 12, and axle pipes 5, 5', so that heat radiation effect of the brake can be improved with such simple sructure.
