Abstract

PURPOSE: To thrust out peeled substances to the peripheral parts of magnetizable discs and expedite conveyance, by embedding permanent magnets so that they are arranged in a spiral shape which opens from the center of the magnetizable disc in the opposite direction to the rotating direction of the disc.
CONSTITUTION: Waste water or the like supplied from an inlet port 7 comes into contact with rotating magnetizable discs 4 so that magnetic substances are attracted on the side and peripheral surfaces of the discs. The attracted substances 10 are moved with the rotation of the discs 4. The substances 10 attracted on the side surfaces are once peeled off when the substances reach comb members 92. The peeled substances are thereafter attracted again on the rotating magnetizable discs 4. Such peeling-off and attraction are repeated so that the substances are conveyed on the comb members 92 to the peripheral parts of the discs 4. The conveyance is expected by the action of permanent magnets 5 embedded as spiral. The attracted substances 10 conveyed to the peripheral parts are conducted onto fixed plates 93 and conjoined to other attracted substances. The conjoined substances are moved on the fixed plates and dropped from a removing section 94 onto a conveyor so that the substances are taken out.
