Abstract

PURPOSE: To expand the range of excellent stereoscopy, by vibrating the principal optical path causing the image in the parallax information direction at high fidelity.
CONSTITUTION: An enticular lens 6 is placed on a photo-electric conversion plane of an image pickup tube 5, and a large aperture lens 8 and a slit plate 9 are disposed between the subject 7 and the lens 6. The lens 8 focuses the light transmitted through two slits 10L, 10R extending in the longitudinal direction of the slit plate 9 on the photo-electric conversion plane, so that the subject 7 is converted into multiple line images, which are picked up by the image pickup tube 5. On the other hand, a renticular lens 12 is provided on the image projection plane of a picture tube 11, and a fluorescent film 13 is spread on the back face thereof, so that multiple line images are produced upon receiving TV signal from the image pickup tube 5. When these images are applied to the both eyes of the observer through the lens 12, a stereroscopic image corresponding to the subject 7 may be obtained. Therefore, the video image providing stereoscopic feel may be observed by multiple persons simultaneously.
