Abstract

PURPOSE:To detect defect of welded joint including stray type defect part easily in a short time, by derecting air leakage with blowing compressed air into a belt type small crevice formed between lining of bath and the welded joint. CONSTITUTION:Compressed air is blowed into a belt type crevice formed continously on back side of welded joint and by confirming the compressed air filled in the small crevice does leakage or not, defect part in the welded part is able to detect. To blow the compressed air, a blowing hole 5 is set at a corresponding place of the welded joint, and further, a socket to connecte supplying pipe of the compressd air is welded at around the blowing hole 5 on the outside surface of bath. The compressed air under a suitable pressure is blowed into through the air supplying pipe connected the socket 7. By so doing, it enables to detect defect easily in a short time.
