Abstract

PURPOSE:To test the pressure leakage for a welded part in which upper and lower parts are fitted and welding is made around the coupled part, by fixing an aluminum casting to be tested to a test fitting stand provided in a water tank charged with water via a test fitting jig and loading air through an air blowing pipe. CONSTITUTION:An upper part 1 and a lower part 2 of an aluminum casting 6 are welded incorporatedly with a jointing part 3. A test material fitting stand 9 is provided in a water tank 7, the casting 6 is fixed with a jig 10 fitting the test piece, an air vent hole 5 is choked and an air blow mouth 13 of an air blowing pipe 12 is fixed to a vent hole 4 at the upper part of the casting 6 through insertion. Water 8 is charged in the tank 7, a compressor 14 is started and the compressed air is adjusted to a designated pressure with a pressure guage 15, feed to the casting 6 of the sample from the mouth 13, and the generation of air bubbles from the welded part is checked. Thus, the pressure leakage of the aluminum casting welded part can simply be checked.
