Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent previously the abnormal loop hanging on the material to be rolled, by, in controlling the tensile force between continuous rolling stands by FTC system, calculating a specific correcting value in order to correct compulsively the roll speed of the object stand when the tensile force, which is computed by an arithmetic unit, deviates from the upper and lower limits.
CONSTITUTION: When a material 18 to be rolled is delivered from a first stand and is bitten by a second stand, an arithmetic unit 22 calculates the tensile force t between the two stands from the rolling torque G1 and rolling load P1, and feeds the tensile force to a substracting unit 25 and a comparator 23. To the comparator 23 are set previously upper and lower limit values. When the tensile force t deviates from the limit values, a gate 26 is opened and ordinary FTC control is discontinued. At that time, the tensile force deviation corresponding to a desired value tO and a tensile force-speed affecting coefficient α are inputted to an arithmetic memory unit 28 to calculate a speed correction ΔNt, hereby the roll speed of the first stand is corrected.
