Abstract

PURPOSE: To smooth control in deceleration, by detecting that the output of a magnetic phase shifter which receives a current command and the output of a direct current transformer becomes zero and by resetting again a flip-flop which receives the outputs of a maximum and a minimum current feeding ratio detecting circuits.
CONSTITUTION: To start an electric vehicle, a current command P is applied to a magnetic phase shifter MPS. When the electric vehicle is accelerated, the counter electromotive force of an electric motor MO increases and the output of the magnetic phase shifter rises. When the rise in the output of the phase shifter is detected by a maximum current feeding ratio detecting circuit MAX, a flip-flop is set and a gate signal is applied from a pulse transformer PT to a rectifier Re1 to turn it on to generate a voltage on the DC side of the rectifier. When the elctric vehicle is decelerated due to an upward gradient, the output of the magnetic phase shifter decreases. This decrease is detected by a minimum current feeding ratio detecting circuit MIN to reset the flip-flop again. As a result, the rectifier Re1 is turned off and the voltage on its DC side becomes zero. The current control of the electric motor is thus effected by the magnetic phase shifter.
