Abstract

PURPOSE: To shorten the accelerating or decelerating time of a motor by fully utilizing an armature voltage control to maximum limit and producing a speed output meeting the load torque and the command at the time of controlling field current of the motor.
CONSTITUTION: A speed command from a control device 1 is compared with the speed signal from a speed detector 7, a deviation signal therebetween becomes a current command through an automatic speed control circuit 12 to operate a phase control unit 15 in response to the deviation with a current feedback signal Ia from a current detecting circuit 6, and the output of the thyristor converter 5 is controlled. The speed is controlled by the armature voltage until the armature voltage reaches rated value, and when it reaches the rated value, a deviation signal between the voltage signal detected by the armature voltage detector 17 and the voltage across an armature rated voltage setting variable resistor 19 is compared by a comparator circuit 20 to reduce the field current through a field weakening circuit 21 and the converter 5. In this case, a speed command meeting the load torque and the speed command by the device 1 is set by the calculator, and is applied to an ASR 12. In this manner it can shorten the accelerating or decelerating time of a motor.
