Abstract

PURPOSE: To efficiently drive an air conditioner by driving or stopping a plurality of freezing cycles, each functioning independently.
CONSTITUTION: When cooling and heating change-over switches 23 and 53 are turned to the cooling side and a driving switch 22 is depressed, an air blower 4 is rotated by the operations of a relay 26, contacts 26a and 26'a and a coil 13, and simultaneously a compresser 5a is operated by a coil 30, a first freezing cycle 5 being converted into a cooling cycle for cooling water a water-heat exchanger 5n. When a load of a cooling water circuit has increased, a driving switch 52 is depressed. When, a compresser 6a is operated by the operations of a relay 56, contacts 56a and 56'a and a coil 60, and a second freezing cycle 6 is converted into a cooling cycle for cooling water of a water-heat exchanger 6n. When a trouble occurs in the first freezing cycle 5 and, for example, a high-pressure switch 29 is opened, the relay 26 is deenergized, and the contact 26a' is opened and the driving of the freezing cycle 5 is stopped.
