PURPOSE:To obtain excellent low-band frequency characteristics by making it possible to control easily and freely the low-band characteristics without reference to minimum resonance frequency (f0) of a speaker by stabilizing the speed of a diaphragm of approximate resonance frequency (f0). CONSTITUTION:To hold nearly constant the speed of the diaphragm of woofer 7 covering minimum resonance frequency (f0) and its close frequency, a signal obtained by detecting the speed of the diaphragm is fed back to the prior stage of amplifier 6. Frequency characteristic correction circuit 5 variable in frequency characteristic provides a speaker driving signal with frequency characteristics increasing in level as the frequency decreases in a band of frequency (f0) and its close frequency, and frequency character correction circuit 22 gives an input signal frequency characteristics complement to characteristics of a sound level to a frequency by a diffraction phenomenon of the cabinet. In the above-mentioned constitution, excellent characteristics are obtained by freely controlling low-band characteristics.
