Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide an electronic watch accurate and stable to variation factors such as aging and temperature by automatically regulating degree of step each time it receives standard time of any given time.
CONSTITUTION: An add counter 2 that receives standard time signal from receiver 1 counts pulses from the oscillator 3 until the receiver 1 receives the next standard time signal. This value of counting is used to regulate the setting value of pre- scaler 5 that sets pulses of specified numbers of the circuit 3 via normalizing circuit 4 in accordance with pulses generated from the circuit 3. When the circuit 3 is counting specified number of pulses, even if one-second pulses from the hour- minute-second counter 6 is affected by changes in output pulses of the circuit 3 due to aging or temperature, output from the pre-scaler 5 accurately corrects these changes. Thus, the electronic watch can maintain high accuracy against aging and temperature variations.
