Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the mutual affection among horn antennas in a Dicke comparison microwave radiometer by commonly using a comparison noise source and a temperature calibrating low noise source as well as the horn antennas as a noise source, thereby simplifying the configuration. CONSTITUTION:A horn antenna 9 is mounted on the surface which is not affected by the sun and the moon at a satellite body functioning also as a comparison noise source and a temperature calibrating low noise source always in the cold space in the universe. After noise radio wave from the antenna 9 is divided by a distributor 10, the radio wave functions as predetermined noise source. Accordingly, this configuration is more simple than that using two horn antennas and may eliminate the mutual affection among the antennas.
