Abstract
PURPOSE:To simplify the construction of a microwave radiometer and eliminate the mutual affection among dummy loads by commonly using a comparison noise source and a temperature calibrating low noise source and employing one dummy load for radiation cooling as a noise source. CONSTITUTION:A dummy load 9 is so mounted on the surface of a satellite body as not to be affected by the sun, the moon always in the cold space in the universe, and functions as both a comparison noise source and a temperature calibrating low noise source. When the noise radio wave from the dummy load 9 is divided by a distributor 10, the divided noise radio waves are used as predetermined noise sources, respectively. Thus, it can simplify the construction and eliminate the mutual affection among the dummy loads as compared with the case that two dummy loads are employed.
