Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the strength of an abrasive body against rotating damage by interposing the bonded surface of the abrasive body with an abrasive tightening braket in the vicinity of a shaft core with a reinforcing bracket integral with a bearing and a reinforcing disk and thus reinforcing the core.
CONSTITUTION: A lower die 2 is engaged within a mold 1, and a shaft core 3 is stood at the center therein. Then, a reinforcing bracket 4 integrated with a bearing 5 is engaged with the core 3. Phenol resin is coated on the bracket 4. Then, after a mixture 6 of abrasive particles and phenol resin binder is filled in the mold and the surface of the mixture is levelled, a reinforcing disk 9 coated with phenol resin on the lower surface is engaged with the core 3 and bonded to the mixture 6. Then, an upper die 10 is engaged with the mixture 6. Thus, the mixture 6 is pressed and molded to form an abrasive body A.
