Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the strength of a grinding abrasive body against rotating damage by reinforcing the bearing of the abrasive body with a reinforcing bracket and a reinforcing disk.
CONSTITUTION: A lower die 2 is engaged within a mold 1, and a shaft core 3 is stood at the center therein. Then, a reinforcing bracket 4 integrated with a bearing 5 is engaged with the core 3. Phenol resin is coated on the bracket 4. Then, a buffer member 7 coated with phenol resin on its both surfaces is engaged with the bracket 4. After the surface of mixture of abrasive particles and phenol resin binder is levelled, similar buffer member 8 to the buffer member 7 is engaged, and engaged with a reinforcing disk 3 coated with phenol resin on the lower surface. Thus, the disk 3 is bonded to the inside buffer member 8. An upper die 10 is engaged on the member 8, and pressed by a hydraulic press. Thus, the mixture of the core is interposed between the braket 4 and the disk 9 to reinforce the core of the abrasive body from both sides so as to improve the strength of the abrasive body against the rotating damage.
