CONSTITUTION:Capacitors C1 and C2 of sense amplifier 2a are charged at the potential of power source VDD, and nodes N1 and N2 connected to CCD shift register 1 and reference cell 3 operate through MOS transistors Q3a and Q5a, which are conductive due to prescribed clock pulse phic, with only charged charge of capacitors C1 and C2 as the operating power source. Therefore, the potential of node N2 becomes high-level according to storage without influence upon the current of a totempole. As the result, power consumption of the sense amplifier can be reduced, and the sense amplifier can be made into a high-density IC.
