Abstract

PURPOSE: To readily take out the cast pipe formed by breaking down its metal particle layers from a metal die by forming the cylindrical metal particle layer having an annular drop-out part to the end part of the cylindrical inside surface of a rotating metal die then pouring molten metal into the metal die which maintains rotation.
CONSTITUTION: While a metal die 1 fixed with end plates 5, 6 is being rotated on a revolving roller 7, metal particles are sprayed from the end of the trough 8 inserted from one end of the metal die 1 to form a cylindrical metal particle layer 9 which is breakable by centrifigal force on the cylindrical inside surface 2. Thence, with the metal die 1 being held revolved, a scraper plate 10 of the shape illustrated is contacted over the entire length of the layer 9 to make the drop-out part 11 of the shape in which the inside surface 2 exposes to one end 9a in the axial direction of the layer 9, thereby letting the annular groove be formed by the drop-out part 11 and plate 5. Next, coat is coated on the inside surface of the layer 9 to complete the molding of the die, after which molten metal is poured into the metal die 1 up to the chain line position while the rotation of the metal mold 1 is being maintained. Thence, the cast pipe M formed with flanges m, n at the both cast ends may be readily pulled off from the metal die 1 by readily breaking down the layer 9.
