Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a small-sized battery of high energy density by adopting a negative pole of lithium, a positive pole composed of nonmetallic or metallic phthalocyanine or its derivative, and a lithium-ion-conductive electrolyte. CONSTITUTION:A negative pole 2 of lithium, a positive pole 5 using nonmetallic phthalocyanine, metallic phthalocyanine such as that of lithium or copper, or the derivative of its chlorinated compound for active materials, and organic, solid, or fused salt electrolyte lithium-ion-conductive and stable to lithium and positive pole active materials, are combined for constructing a battery. For example, a lithium plate is used for the negative pole 2, while a mixture of 0.5g of nonmetallic phthalocyanine powder, 0.1g of acetylene black, and electrolyte is used for the positive pole 5. A felt 4 is soaked in 1mol/l solution of LiClO4 soluted into an electrolyte of propylene carbonate, and a polypropylene diaphragm 3 is laid between them for constructing a battery. This construction serves to obtain a small-sized, high voltage, high capacity, and chargeable battery.
