Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a molding having a uniform mechanical strength by a structure wherein an emulsion polymer powder of letrafluoroethylene is preliminarily press molded by deaerating therefrom.
CONSTITUTION: Tetrafuoroethylene powder A is filled in the void enclosed by an external frame 1 and a press plate 9 to seal by the top cover, which is deaerated from a joint port 4 with a vacuum pump. The press-plate 9 is lifted up by a compressed fluid supplied from a passage 7 of the bottom cover 6 to press the pellet A for preliminary molding. Next, the preliminary molding is taken out, to be heat sintered at the temperature higher than the melting point thereof within an electric furnace to produce the moldings 7.
