Abstract

PURPOSE:To cover the resin volume shrinkage in cooling by compression, and to eliminate the sink in the thick part of a lens with a degree, by compressing a cast molten resin, utilizing the mold clamping force of an injection molding machine. CONSTITUTION:The working plate 8 is pushed by the low clamping pressure F1 due to the hydraulic pressure of the machine 12 to press the movable core plate 3 to the fixed core plate 1. The working clearance 9 is left between the plates 3 and 8 to form the cavities 6 containing the volume shrinkage. The molten resin 10 is injected into the cavities 6 at a pressure below the pressure F1 to increase the clamping pressure to the maximum and to advance the movable cores 4. The resin 10 in the cavities 6 is thus compressed not to flow back from the gates 11.
