Abstract

CONSTITUTION: An electrically coloring display cell is constituted by placing glass substrate 1a provided with tin oxide film display electrode 2a formed along a display pattern and glass substrate 1b provided with tin oxide film opposite electrode 2b face to face with spacers 3 in-between. 0.1 mol of N,N'-diheptyl-4,4'-bipyridinium dibromide is dissolved in 20 ml of a carbonic acid ester such as ethylene carbonate, and 50 wt% of titanium oxide is added to the resulting viologen derivative soln. to prepare a chromic soln.
