Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the damage of partial reflection mirror, even to the high output laser oscillator, by making stable the output and increasing the oscillation efficiency, through the reduction of mol concentration of CO2 molecules in the mixing gas of non-discharged part. CONSTITUTION:The gas flow 11 not including CO2 molecules, gas flow 12 of CO2 molecules, and the flow of laser operating gas flow 13 are adjusted so that the mixing ratio in the package 10 and the full pressure can be made constant. Thus, by reducing the concentration of CO2 molecules at non-discharge part, the absorbing coefficient of CO2 molecules is lowered and the oscillating efficiency of laser oscillator can be increased. Further, if the absorbing coefficient is lowered, the heating of gas for non-discharge part is avoided, allowing to reduce the output variation due to fluctuation of gas temperature. Further, abnormal heating operation of partial reflection mirror 4 can be avoided, allowing to avoid the damage of the partial reflection mirror 4.
