Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide amorphous ferromagnetic alloy having little time-varing property, magnetic field is applied to molten metal while it is rapidly cooled by being jetted onto revolving roll.
CONSTITUTION: Raw material 1 is melted in the nozzle 2 by high frequency heater's coil 3. The molten metal is jetted onto the high-speed revolving roll 4 forming thin film and rapidly cooled into an amorphous solid body. The magnetic field strength induced by the coil 3 is greater than 20 oersteds. (some 200 oersteds). The resulting alloy is usefull as magnetic core of transformer, magnetic head, etc., giving high performance and long service life.
