Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the thermal deterioration of a reflector body and its reflecting surface by preventing the heating of a shield member surrounding the reflector.
CONSTITUTION: A front lens 4 is laid on the front opening of a reflector having a reflecting surface 3, and is fused to the rim by a burner 5 to form a lamp 1. In the fusing process, the reflector 2 is supported by a supported 7 which has a shield member 8 to surround the reflector 2. The shield member 8 has a roughly rectangular shape, is hollow, and is provided therein with a coolant counduit 9 which is connected with a coolant feed pipe 10 and discharge pipe 11. With the reflector 2 supported by the supporter 7 in the fusing process, the shield member 8 is kept cool b the coolant to shield the heat from a burner 5, so that the reflector 2 is not heated.
