Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the life shelf life of recording layer and improve heating developing chracteristics by separating a reducing agent from the image recording layer, letting this be contained in the layer of another material and superposing these layers at the heating thereby performing developing.
CONSTITUTION: The solution of the composition composed of a binder, benzotriazole (derivative) and organic silver salt is coated on the surface of a conductive base and is then dried, whereby the image electro thermo-image-forming layer is formed. The photoconductive layer of a photoelectic sensor is contacted on the recording layer of this electro thermo-recording material and current supply in image form is applied at the same instant of image exposure. The recording material having been formed with latent images in this way is separated from the photoelectric sensor, after which it is so superposed with the reducing agent containing layer composed of compound that can reduce the organic silver salt and a binder having been coated on separate base that it contacts the same and is thereby subjected to heating developing.
